The weekend part 3/3

When I moved to Austria, the company that I work for promised to provide accommodation for a month in a hotel. During that month I went to check out apartments daily. When I found the right one, I rented it immediately. I was the first one to see it and I didn't give a change to anyone else to visit it, so fast was I :) So, last weekend I moved all my stuff to the big and empty place.

I noticed after I had unpacked everything that I didn't have any glasses nor plates. So the trip to IKEA begun and home I came, with white and turquoise glasses to drink from and 6 big vine glasses. I only bought 2 black plates cause the rest I want in colour from Zara Home :)

The weekend part 2/3

It is always possible to find some nice program in this area. There is every weekend some kind of concert or festival in one of the small cities nearby. Last weekend there was a “Street Artist Festival” in Feldkirch. We drove there to have a walk around the festival area, to have a drink and later to eat dinner. It was fun :)

The weekend part 1/3

Fra and I had a great time in the mountains yesterday! We decided to take with us the walking map, walk to our first destinations and decide then where to go from there. We decided on many destinations and all-in-all spent 3 hours hiking. It was a perfect weather and we felt really happy out in the nature. The hiking trip started by the waterfalls, continuing through se dark tunnels inside the mountains to the forest. In the forest we had at some point to really climb, to get up and on the top we found a perfect place where to eat our packed lunch. From that place you could see to Germany! On the walk down we saw a bunch of lambs :) It was great!

the cold kicks in

It's still raining here. The sky is falling down, you cannot see the Alps, villages are getting evacuated, the insurance companies have vivid conversations about water in cellars and we wear jeans and sweaters... and right now, I have also woolen cloths on me!

Asuntouutisia

Vuokrasopimukseni on monta sivua pitkä, jossa käydään läpi jokaikinen asia mitä kaukainen mielikuvitus voikaan keksiä.

I have today signed the lease of my apartment. I am actually quite proud of this, because the bureaucracy in this country is insane! I will show more pictures of the place, when I have properly moved in. Here is anyway a shot from my bathroom. The same beige tiles are everywhere on the floors in the apartment.

Mamma

My mum was visiting during the weekend. Unfortunately, it rained cats and dogs. Most of the time. We did all the things you can possible do on such weather: drove around by car checking out places around, sat in cafeterias and restaurants and enjoyed something delicious and went shopping for umbrellas and rubber boots :)

On Saturday eve we saw the coolest version of the Aida opera ever! The scene was built on water, by the big Bodensee-lake. The actors were part of the time under water, part of the time on the water surface and part of the time high up in the air! The spectacle was amazing to experience! Even though both my mum and I have been used to wear something more fancy to the opera than 6 pairs of woollen sweaters, rain coats and rubber boots :)

Fra and his mum came here on Sunday. We went by cableway up to the panorama restaurant to have lunch, all four of us. We ate also ice cream in the city and checked out my new apartment.
Morning in the city. Raining :)

Breakfast in the rain...

You need a jacket and a scarf, when it is so cold...

Enjoying something delicious...again :)
