We didn't just have one picnic yesterday, we also went in the evening to a restaurant called piquenique. I used to live just a few minutes drive from this restaurant and all the cute bars around, oh why didn't I then know about this place? It was the cutest-ameliè style-restaurant ever! The pictures I took can't even begin to describe the cuteness and loveliness.... but fortunately the restaurant became filled with people just 5 minutes after all these pictures :)

I am alive :) I have just been spending quality time and not been able to sit in front of the computer for even 5 minutes :) I have been to Fra's bands band practice, out drinking beer with the whole band, at Fra's grandma eating delicious polenta and colomba, had aperitivi with Sonia and Giovanni (who game me a ring and a book as a pensiero for all my graduation and birthday), had the most amazing dinner with Army and Nadra (greetings to Nadra!), a walk in Navigli, celebration cake and wine in my favorite café and so on. The weather is great and I'm happy! :)

The past days
We have been doing a lot of things. Among others, we spent a very nice evening in Bologna with the Norwegian Sofie and the Italian Simone. First of all: their apartment in the centro storico of Bologna was the coolest apartment that I have ever seen! Oh why didn't I take pictures? The evening was great, us four speaking four or five languages together, eating all the amazing things of Bologna and drinking a lot of red vine! We spent also the night there :) Yesterday we had again an amazing dinner but this time in Milan. Valentina and her mum wanted to meet me and we went out for dinner in a beautiful part of the city talking politics (more like yelling about politics), literature and culture. We also talked about my job interview that I had here in Milan the other day. I had it with four men, of which three were nice and one was a complete asshole. He, among others, asked me in the interview how can I, as a woman, be able to work with technical things. He also thought our competition luminaire was boring. Well, up his, we won :) Anyway, here are some pictures. It was fun to drive to Bologna, cause we could see on the highway that the rainbow ended there!

Liguria
We spent the whole yesterday in Liguria with Giovanni, Stella and Max and two of Giovanni's colleagues. They were fishing the whole day in Camogli while Fra and I drove to Portofino and to Santa Margherita Ligure. We bought a lot of foccacia and pesto, which is the things that are excellent in the Liguria region. We hada great time and in the evening when the fishermen started to get tired we all ate by the sea in a very cute restaurant.

Voting morning
Today is the voting day for the Region councillors in Italy. Fra and I went for a walk in his neighborhood to the local elementary school so that he could vote. It was perfect sunny weather for a walk on the countryside. The sky was so clear that we could see both the Apennine and the Alps! Beautiful :)

A chill saturday in Italy
We went on a motorbike trip yesterday to Arona. Arona is a very beautiful city by the lake Maggiore. The sun was shining so it was warm to walk around. We ate lunch in a cute little Osteria and enjoyed a gelato in the sun.
After the trip we went back to Milan and I did some shopping. I will show you after a while. But I wanted a touristic picture of me and the Duomo and here it is:
In the evening we went out to eat gnocchi fritti. They are like the italian version of the naan bread. At the restaurant they bought us baskets and baskets of gnocchi fritti and we could order from the menu what cheese and what meet to eat with them. It was delicious! Afterwards we went for a drink, even if it was hard to find a place for 11 people...
